Chapter 39

"Wang Zi!" Ya Lun patted Wang Zi lightly on the back

Wang Zi looked down, and his voice turned cold. "What do you want?"

Ya Lun said, "Look at me."

Wang Zi refused.

Ya Lun gave a laugh and said, "Didn't we fight fair? I won, and I name the request you MUST agree."

That made Wang Zi look up. Wang Zi saw humour deep in Ya Lun's eyes. That made him wary.

Ya Lun told Wang Zi something that made Wang Zi cry.

Teary-eyed, Wang Zi made his way out and found Gui Gui.

"GUI GUI!" Wang Zi burst out and hugged Gui Gui with such enthusiasiam that he lifted Gui Gui off her feet.

"What did he want?" Gui Gui whispered, as the first teardrops ebbed on the edge of her eye dangerously, threatening to drip any moment.

Wang Zi put Gui Gui down. At the corner of her eye, Gui Gui saw Jun Hou smiling and grinning. Gui Gui knew that expression. It meant that things are going to be better. Ya Lun's arm was over Ya Jun's shoulder, smiling.

You've won, but you'll never win my heart. Gui gui thought.

Wang Zi whispered, "He said that even if he had won over me, he'll never ever win your real heart. And the Ya Jun incident made him realise that love cannot be forced. He blesses us. Guess what his request was?"

Gui Gui stared at Wang Zi and shook her head wildly, making her hair fly around like a fan without any control.

"He said this, 'My request is that: You make Gui Gui happy forever. If she ever ever ever cry, you owe me a punch for each drop of tear.'"

Gui Gui looked at Ya Lun. Ya Lun gave her and apologethic grin. Something clouded Gui Gui's vision.

What was it?

Gui Gui wiped her tears away and Ya Lun came forward and punched Wang Zi on the stomach.

"What??" Wang Zi grimaced in pain.

"That's one teardrop."

Gui Gui burst into tears.

"That's three!" Ya Lun teased and punched Wang Zi lightly.

"But those are tears of joy!" Wang Zi protested.

Natelie appeared out of nowhere and punched Ya Lun. "That's for all the shoutings you did to me!"

The 10 sisters, 6 brothers and 2 siblings laughed.

It was all (afterall): A happy ending.

Chapter 38

Chapter 38

"Jun Hou!" Gui Gui shouted.

Jun Hou looked at Gui Gui and winked. Later, Jun Hou signalled.

"Okay..." Gui Gui mumbled and sat down.

The match started after a sharp whistle was blown.

Where's Natelie? Gui Gui thought.

But after five minutes of the game, there was no Natelie and results.

"Wang Zi!!!" The girls shouted.

After twenty minutes, the score was 5 : 6

Wang Zi's team was losing.

Gui Gui bit her trembling lips.

Ya Lun had the ball then. He bounced the ball to the hoop, and in a swift jump, he threw the ball in.

Smiling a triumphant smile, he walked to Gui Gui, who was sobbing.

"You've won. Aren't you happy?" Gui Gui asked sarcastically.

Ya Lun looked at Gui Gui with a curious look. "Yeah, I am. Did I say I'm not?"

Ya Jun grinned and walked over. "Having a conversation?"

"Obviously." Ya Lun said.

"Oops." Ya Jun went away.

"So, name your request." Gui Gui said, she clenched her teeth.

"Uh-uh. I'm going to find Wang Zi." Ya Lun stood up and went towards the dressing room.

Gui Gui tore her gaze from the floor to Ya Lun's back. What now? Is he going to tell Wang Zi to leave me?

Chapter 37

Chapter 37

"Yeah." Gui Gui whispered. "And that's the reason to why Jun Hou was absent these few days."

"But..." The stadium seemed to shrink as Ya Lun reeled backwards away to the exit. "I... Im... Impossoble!" He screamed and when he reached the exit, he turned and ran at full speed to his car.

"Phew." Gui Gui sighed. "That was unexpected."

And she started to worry. Next round... Is Wang Zi going to win?

Ya Lun knocked on the door.

"Ya Lun? Why are you here?"

"Tell me, where is Aarion?" Ya Lun struggled to keep his tone down.

"A-Aarion? Isn't she in- in Perth?"

"Shuddup! I know everything!" Ya Lun burst out.

"E-Everything? Erm, I'm afraid I dunno what you are talking about." Natelie slammed her door, but only to be stopped by Ya Lun's strong arm.

"Who is it? Natelie?" Rang out a sweet and nice voice.

Ya Lun recognised the voice. It sounded as if Ya Lun just lost her hours ago.

"Aarion?" Ya Lun asked, hesitant. And relaxed his grip.

The door slammed.

"Aaron?!" Aarion recognised the voice.

"GO to your room!" Natelie hissed.

"Why? Natelie-san?" Aarion pleaded.

"Just do as I say!"

"I don't care! I heard my brother!"

"There are many voices that sound like you brother! And, boys' voices brea - AARION! Come bac-!"

"Aaron!!!!" Aarion burst into tears and hugged Ya Lun.

Ya Lun hugged back. "Aarion! I'm so glad you're back!"

"Is our home still intact?" Aarion asked as she stepped out of Ya Lun's arm.

"Yeah, wanna visit?"

"SURE! I'll be back - " She turned to Natelie and then remembered something. "I'll be back when I come visiting! I'm going HOME!"

"Let's go!" And they went back.

*Three days later, in Basketball court, indoor-ed.*

"I'm so glad Aarion is back with her brother." Gui Gui whispered to Da Ya.

Da Ya wrinkled her nose in distaste. "Why be glad? He's a total jerk..."

"You must be Gui Gui! Right?" Ya Jun (Aarion) chirped in.

"Yeah, you must be Ya Jun? This is Da Ya." Gui Gui gestured to Da Ya when she nodded to the first question.

"Haha! Pardon my brother! He is so childish at sometime!" Ya Jun exclaimed.

Ya Lun came over. He looked more better than the other time. "Wah! Is this called girls' gossiping?" He joked.

"Yeah!" Gui Gui agreed.

He smiled stiffly at Gui Gui. "Thanks. For everything."

*Match starts*

Wang Zi nodded at Gui Gui as he jogged into the court, as well as the six brothers and Ya Lun's players - which included Jun Hou.

Gui Gui's eyes widened, "Jun Hou?"

But her voice was drowned out by the cheers of the friends.

"WANG ZI!!" The girls cheered.

Chapter 36

Chapter 36

"Whoots!" Gui Gui was so relieved that tears were running down her cheeks.

"Wang Zi forever!" The girls chanted.

"Ya Lun big loser!" The boys shouted.

"Ryhmes like a letter!" Natelie added.

Ya Lun glared at Natelie. "There's no link, Natelie."

"Obvious. Course Wang Zi and Ya Lun is a total different thing!" Natelie grinned from ear to ear.

"Shut that gap up. If I ever lose... You will not have your chinese name changed!" Ya Lun threatened.

"Shut up! I can change it on my own!" Natelie flicked her hair over her shoulder.

"Stop irritating me!" Ya Lun shouted.

Everybody quietened down, seeing what was going on.

"Over confident brings you to doom!" Natelie shrieked.

Ya Lun ignored the pointings and starings, shouted. "You started everything!"

"You wanted to win Gui Gui over!" Natelie shrilled.

Gui Gui - who was in Wang Zi's tight embrace - stepped out awkwardly. "Huh?"

Ya Lun's head snapped up, and he retorted. "You wanted me to win!"

"Yeah, I did." Natelie shook her head. "You heard that? DID! Not now! In case you have failed your grammar!! Now, what I want is a happy ending! I want Gui Gui to be with whoever she wants!" She dropped her voice. "If you really love her, make her happy, stop this whole wholly things."

The voice was so low that Ya Lun was sure that it was meant for him to hear only. Ya Lun dropped his helmet, shocked at the outburst of Natelie.

Natelie picked up the helmet and placed it onto his head. "The rest is up to you."

She turned around and headed towards the exit. The brothers stared with dropped jaws at Natelie.

Gui Gui patted Wang Zi's shoulder. "Go back first, will ya 'all?"

Wang Zi looked grimly from Ya Lun to Gui Gui. His eyes softened when he looked at Gui Gui's tear streaked face. "Okay, I will be waiting for you outside."

Wang Zi bent down and situated his lips at Gui Gui's. Gui Gui kissed him back sweetly, and when the kiss ended, they were both breathing hard. (I know it's abit grossed here :P)

"Hey, let's go!" Wang Zi called to the brothers and sisters to head out.

"Sure"s and "Kay"s rang out in response to Wang Zi's statement.

Da Ya squeezed Gui Gui's shoulder. "Don't be too hard on Ya Lun. An over-confident winner suddenly lost, I know how he feels."

"Kay," Gui Gui said softly as they left the room, leaving Ya Lun and Gui Gui alone in the car-racing outdoor stadium.

"Ya Lun." Gui Gui was beside Ya Lun, who was kneeling in grief.

"Leave me alone." Ya Lun said in a very cold voice.

Gui Gui looked into Ya Lun's eyes, and when her eyes locked with Ya Lun's, Ya Lun saw hurt in her eyes. Ya Lun murmured. "Sorry, Gui Gui."

Deep down in her heart, Gui Gui knew that Ya Lun was not only apologising for the cold voice but mostly for the anxiety he had caused on last week and that day itself.

"Do you deny that you love me?" Ya Lun asked.

"No, I do not." Gui Gui placed her hand onto Ya Lun's.

"Then? Why? Why hurt me?" Ya Lun laced his fingers with Gui Gi'us.

"Course... I know who is your sister." Gui Gui admitted.

"How?"

"Well..." Gui Gui decided to tell Ya Lun the truth. "I had been investigating on you since you left Taiwan for Perth, in search for you lost sister. Wang Zi told me about the girl in the picture. He had taken a photo of it when you were not noticing, and showed it to me. I was very very curious, so I asked Wang Zi what you told him. So, I asked Jun Hou to find out about your family status and your lost sibling's DNA and documents. When Jun Hou gave me everything I needed, I asked him if he could help me to find the lost girl. I wanted to help you, because I felt guilty for not returning your love when we loved each other. When I found out about your sister Taiwan's identity, I was very shocked to find out that your sister is actually my mother's aunt's adoptee! I quickly - on impulse - asked my mother's aunt if she had adopted a baby a few years ago. She said yes and she said that a lady came to find her and took the adoptee's custody and she was taken away by her. By so much chance, the lady is actually NATELIE!"

"Nat?" Ya Lun took a staggered step away, totally taken aback.

Chapter 35

Chapter 35

"Ah, crap." Wang Zi muttered as he strolled out of the room.

Meanwhile, Natelie was having a conversation with Ya Lun.

"Hey, cheer up. You will win." Natelie cooed.

Ya Lun stood up, adjusting his helmet. "Hell. Of course I will win."

Natelie smirked. “Are you that confident?”

“Definitely.” Ya Lun stood up. “I have been driving ever since I am 16.”

“Wang Zi had been driving since he was 13.” Natelie rolled her eyes.

“Thirteen?” Ya Lun tried to sound dorkish(the nerd-ish way). So it practically sounded like: Fur-teen-ey.

“Well, illegally, though.” Natelie admitted sheepishly.

“How?” Ya Lun asked incredulously.

“Hello! His dad was a car-racing pro!” Natelie waved her hand in front of Ya Lun.

“Really?” Ya Lun asked, as he strutted out of the room like a peacock.

Natelie muttered. “Over confident. I won’t be surprised if he loses.”

“Ready.”

Wang Zi gripped his steering wheel tightly. Do not panic. Panic gets you to nowhere, except dead end. Wang Zi’s dad had told him when he was 15.

“Get set.”

Ya Lun’s foot itched to just step on the pedal. To start. To cheat.

“Go!”

Ya Lun had no time to hesitate then. He sped forward. And frowned when no matter how he changed his gear, Wang Zi’s car was still in front of him.

“WTF?!” Ya Lun cussed under his breath as they neared the finishing line.

Ya Lun started to panic as images of Wang Zi embracing with Gui Gui floated into his distracted mind.

Distracted, Ya Lun turned the steering wheel and his car spinned to a stop.

“YES!” The girls screamed.

“That’s my bro!” The boys cheered.

“Yea man!” Wang Zi shouted in relief as his car skidded to a stop with a beautiful yet graceful circle.

Gui Gui sighed in relief and smiled. God really did bless Wang Zi. At least Wang Zi still stand a chance in winning the next round!

“Argh!” Ya Lun stepped out of his smoking car. He shrugged his jacket off and took off his gloves and in frustration, he threw it to the ground.

Next round... Who will win?
